If I were asked to describe British Columbia with 5 photos (and I happened to have any photo I wanted on hand), I would choose

• the Rocky Mountains

• the Vancouver city skyline

• the pacific ocean

• fishing industry

• logging industry
   

If I got to add a few more photos

• winter sports (skiing especially)

• Victoria (Buchart gardens or the Empress hotel)

• wildlife and wildflowers

• wine making (Okanagan)

Of course, we don't always have exactly the photos we want lying about but I've done my best to capture the essence of the province with under a dozen photos:
