Materials* Deck of cards with jacks, queens and kings removed. (if you have a deck with a few missing cards, it will work for this game)
* paper and pen for score keeping
* Two players with equal skill level (or a child/parent where the parent let's the child go first).
On-Line ResourcesPrintable number stamps (can use if you do not have a deck of cards) - print 3 or 4 copies.
PreparationRemove face cards from the deck of cards.
Shuffle remainder of the deck.
ActivityDeal cards so each player receives half the deck.
Stack each half in front of the players face down.

Each player flips a card off their half and puts it in the center of the table.

- PreK and K: first person to say what their card is (9, 3, 6, etc) gets both cards and puts at the bottom of their deck

- Gr 1 and Gr 2: first person to say what the sum of the two cards showing is gets both cards and puts at the bottom of their deck

- Gr 3 and Gr 4: first person to say what the two cards multiplied is gets both cards and puts on the bottom of their deck

- If playing with a child and a parent, you can let the child answer once... if they get it right, they get the cards... if they get it wrong, the parent gets the cards.
ConclusionGAME ENDS
- when one player has all the cards
OR
- set a time limit (10 minutes or so) for the game and count all the cards (good counting practice!!) -- whoever has the most at the end of the time limit is the winner.
